The Apple Company of Cupertino, the famous American multinational manufacturer of hi-tech devices, has released in recent hours in collaboration with the “White House” (The White House), the “FEMA” (Federal Agency for emergency management) and the body “CDC” (centers for disease prevention and control) a web portal and an application dedicated to Covid-19 with the aim of providing information and advice to users and providing a self-screening tool (self-control ) consisting of a questionnaire with various questions regarding the aforementioned virus.
The service is currently available in English only but it is expected that versions in various languages will be released shortly. As soon as we are about to begin the questionnaire, Apple presents us with a page that informs us that the questions we will answer will concern symptoms, travel and contacts with others; always on the same screen Apple reminds us that the answers will not be disclosed without our consent and, continuing for the screen, also recalls the fact that the recommendations given by this tool do not constitute an official medical advice and should not be used to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Continuing with the questionnaire and after having answered all the questions, the final screen with the outcome of the questionnaire will be displayed. The last screen is characterized by a general advice in the foreground and by the precautions to be paid in addition to the opinion on whether to carry out the swab for the virus.
In conclusion, it can be said that the Coronavirus emergency is a far-reaching and dangerous thing, but thanks to the continuous efforts of multinationals such as Apple, the road to exit is not that far.
